Apply to be a vendor at Car Free Days Vancouver!
Vendor applications for Car Free Day are now open!
This year we're reaffirming our position as a community-led and created festival that showcases diversity, sustainability, localization and car-free culture. We'll be focusing on locally-based vendors in each of the neighbourhood precincts, seeking variety in programming, and encouraging broad community participation.
Stall priority will be given to local artisans, nonprofits and businesses owned by people who identify as BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, having a disability or as a woman, and community organizations that actively serve underrepresented people in our community.
Vendor fees have also been updated to reflect these changes, with a greater number of categories, and a pay-as-you-can sliding scale for artisans.
The lowest end of the sliding scale aims to increase access and participation by lower income and priority artisan vendors.
All other artisans are invited to choose to participate at either the
$180 or $240 fee point. Vendors selecting the highest end of the sliding scale help support increased participation across the board.
In keeping with the car-free ethos, we'll only be offering four food truck spaces at each festival. This will reduce emissions and create more space on the street for even more people to get involved. We're also keen to reduce plastic and single-use items sold at the festivals, and will be prioritizing vendors who make/create/design their own products.
So if you're an advocacy group, community organization, business, artisan or food vendor, we'd love to hear from you! Applications open now!
