The Olympic Resistance Network will be at Car-Free Day at the Drive

Come out to the neighbourhood Car-Free festival on Commercial Drive this Sunday, learn more about the Olympics’ impacts on our communities, and connect with other folks about your concerns. The Olympic Resistance Network will be at Napier and Commercial throughout the day (11 am – 7pm) and offering workshops on your legal rights and basic medical care for activists.

LEGAL and MEDICAL WORKSHOPS
1pm, 3pm, 5pm: Legal workshops – Intro to your rights as the Olympic police structure comes to town. With a $1 billion ’security’ budget, expanded police powers, and events all over town – all Vancouverites will be affected.

1:30pm, 3:30pm, 5:30pm: Medical workshops – Street medic skills for addressing the aggressive tactics which accompany the Olympic Games and the Vancouver police.

Enjoy Car-Free Day on the Drive and visit the Olympic Resistance Network at the mock 2010 police security barricade on Sunday, June 14!
