In 2008 and 2009, Kitsilano held Car-Free Block Parties Day to an overwhelming response – 20 block parties each year! This year we hope to double that number, and we need your help.

If you are interested in hosting a party on your block, go here to find out how.  It’s easy, and we’ll help you get it off the ground!

Block parties are as individual as the people who host them, and everyone  enjoys that car-free feeling when they get together with other neighbours and celebrate in the street.

You don’t have to live in a block of single family homes to host or take part in a block party. People in apartment towers, townhouses and condos have them too!
