Car Free Vancouver Day is nearly here! Kitsilano block parties will happen on Saturday, June 16th & Sunday, June 17th. Car free street festivals on Commercial Drive, Main Street and in the West End (Denman Street) take place Sunday, June 17th/Father’s Day.

We encourage you to check all of the festival web pages regularly to find out what’s happening in each neighbourhood:

Main Street Highlights are street hockey, SFU Philosophers’ Cafe, a pedal-powered DJ, BLIM Market, Tai Chi, knit it and living room, kids bike rodeo, music and more!

West End Participants include Miss Teen Vancouver World 2012, Vancouver Aquarium, Vancouver Historical Society, West End Seniors’ Network, PuddleCity Arts and more!

Kitsilano So many block parties! View the map.

We’re posting previews of the fun you can expect to have and you’ll also find information about upcoming volunteer orientation sessions. We still need *many* volunteers to help us turn our streets into car free, celebratory, fun for free community spaces! If you can spare even just a few hours at one of our sites we would love for you to sign up right now:

If you would like to support Car Free Vancouver Day by making a donation to the festival please click the donate button on the right side of this page. We are a truly grassroots festival and have no sponsors, only supporters.

Please tell your friends, family and neighbours about Car Free Vancouver Day. Download and share our poster and stickers to promote the festival on your blog, Twitter, Facebook, in person and any other ways you like to communicate.

We can’t wait to see all of you at *your* festivals!
